WHAT AND WHO WE
ARE
PAST
}
IPC Industries was founded in 1983 by Len Collins
}
IPC started in Alrode south, supplying rigid polyurethane to contractors for Sasol and
Eskom, and in managed to maintain solid relationships and product knowledge to and for the
industry
}
In 2009, IPC Industries partnered with Rockwool in Holland to supply hot insulation to
their same customers, expanding the rockwool brand back into africa.
}
IPC commissioned its first automated CNC machine in 2008, in order to change the
way pipe sections were cut, also increasing the contractors ability to quickly get the
job done!
PRESENT
}
Currently IPC Industries is owned and run by Barry Collins (Lens son) who took over
the business after Lens passing in 2008.
}
Terence Wall joined the business as Financial Member in 2010 and together with Barry,
added much needed business savvy to enable IPC to expand and grow into new markets and
territories.
}
Currently IPC Supplies both Hot and Cold Insulation to the Industrial sector (Sasol /
Eskom) and provide a very significant portion of insulation material to those
plants.
}
IPC is also the Sole agent in South Africa for FOAMGLAS, and have completed a number of
projects using FOAMGLAS for specialised cold insulation projects.
}
IPC currently have 2 CNC machines that fabricate pipe
sections, domes, vessels and sheets. The 3rd machine has also recently been commissioned.
FUTURE
}
IPC has experienced major growth over
the past 3 years, and is currently evaluating their expansion into Ellisras and Pinetown.
}
Partnerships have also been secured with Vaal Technical to
build and improve CNC machines, and the first 4 axis machine is currently in design and production should start
in April 2012.
}
Another partnership has also been established with CSIR
(centre for science and industrial research), where by-product material is being tested to supply the building
industry with insulated blocks to conform with the new building regulations act.
}
IPC Has recognised the need to keep ahead of its competition and have managed to secure a
reputation of “if you want it done right and in time, call IPC”
}
We know how to move mountains.
